Bulldogs Take the Win, 22-12

A rainy afternoon, a 22–12 Bulldog win, a few big first and a moment to recognize a teammate who couldn’t take the field.

The Meeker 3rd/4th grade Bulldogs had plenty to celebrate Saturday.

One of the team’s newest players, #31 Ryker Wright, put the first points on the board with his first touchdown of the season and the first touchdown of the afternoon.

The Bulldogs kept rolling from there. Garrett Lewis threw the block that opened the way for Tuff Norris to find the end zone for Meeker’s second touchdown.

Jed Romano helped keep the offense moving, fighting through tackles and stiff-arming defenders for extra yards throughout the game.

Then, in the final quarter, Tuff Norris connected with Legend Devereaux for the Bulldogs’ final touchdown, and Garrett Lewis punched in the two-point conversion to help seal the 22–12 victory.

But one Bulldog was missing from the lineup.

Colton Doss is currently sidelined after suffering a broken leg while fighting for extra yards during a recent game in Cushing. Saturday, his dad brought him out to the field, where his teammates gathered around to recognize him and remind him that he is still very much part of this team.

Colton stayed to watch his teammates finish the afternoon with a win.

Meeker 22. Visitors 12.

A first touchdown. Big blocks. Broken tackles. Teammates finding the end zone—and one Bulldog on the sideline getting some well-earned love from his team.

Not a bad way to spend a rainy Saturday in Meeker.
